APPLIED RESEARCH, DEVELOPMENT AND INNOVATION_

Applied R&D&i

AGF applies at industrial scale the knowledge generated at its Applied Research and Development Centre (CIAD). Research applicability is direct.

At the CIAD, high-efficiency anaerobic digestion processes, hygienization systems and effluent treatments have been developed, among others.

External services

The CIAD offers external R&D services.

Knowing the real gas production potential or the long-term stability of processes is of great support for plant operation and project development.

Capabilities

The CIAD has outstanding capabilities in the renewable gas sector and an experienced team.

It has more than 20 operating 15 L reactors with temperature control, agitation and continuous measurement of biogas production.

Technology development

Part of the CIAD's assets are used for AGF's internal R&D development.

Work is underway to develop new technologies, designs and processes to offer our clients more efficient and profitable solutions.

CIAD SERVICES

The Applied Research and Development Centre (CIAD) at AGF has a specialized laboratory researching gaseous biofuel production processes through biochemical processes. This laboratory not only supports industrial plants, enabling process simulation and optimization, but also evaluates new potential substrates before their industrial-scale use, in addition to offering its services to third parties.

  • This is a loading experiment that consists of feeding a single controlled dose of material to an active, balanced inoculum, with enough biomass to process any biodegradable compound, and tracking the evolution of the reaction in terms of biogas production and organic matter degradation.

    • Assess the biodegradability of the organic matter in the material under study.
    • Quantify the material's biogas production.
    • Assess the kinetics of biogas production and provide an initial estimate of inhibitions or toxicity.
